The four dichotomies of personality:
- Energy - where is it primarily directed?
Extraversion
- prefer letting energy flow towards to outer world of people, objects and events. Feel energised by actively interacting with the outer world Get involved with what is going on, typical sequence of act-think-act.
- Perception - what is the primary focus of attention?
iNtuition
- prefer scanning situations for patterns, connections, and future possibilities. Search for new inspiration; use abstract imagination to try and grasp ' the big picture'.
- Judgement - how are decisions typically reached?
Thinking
- prefer making judgements by applying objective reason to relevant information. Concerned whether decisions make sense in terms f impartial logic.
- Lifestyle - how is the outer world typically dealt with?
Judging
- prefer structured, organised and planful way of life. Seek closure, control and conclusions.
